Hello, my name is Joel Touchet. This is my first online class I have taken and also the last class I need to graduate in August with a General Business degree.
I am the Business Services Manager for an engineering and construction company in La Porte that does work for Chemical and Refinery companies in the Houston area. My role is to manage the business divisions that support the engineering and construction divisions. Under my direction is HR, Safety, IT, Purchasing, Facilities, & Equipment. I came back to UHCL about 4 years ago to finish my degree because it was something I never completed and wanted to go back and finish, so I am looking forward to August.
Most of my career has been spent doing IT work and I have read blogs but never participated in them so I am looking forward to this experience.
