The author in this article, which discusses about car sharing organizations, suggests implementing new strategies. They have found that in order to keep up their growing demand, they must make new “stations” which will make the companies more efficient. The author has a simulation model which can provide the activities of any size car sharing station. They have done many benchmarking comparisons to show different strategies and how you go about achieving this for your company.

Within the article is a proposed model application for practicing managers to review. They can gain knowledge of what to expect, and how to manage this type on industry. It is important in the car sharing industry to keep things on the move and one step ahead, just like it is for all industries.

  4. This article is relevant at my job as an event coordinator for a non-profit organization. We must constantly create new ways to inform our donors why they should give and where their money will be going. I know this is not what the article was referring to specifically but it seemed relevant. People have so many different ways to spend their money and donate their money. This makes our job a little bit trickier, in that we must be constantly remain innovative in how we approach potential donors.
