I agree that all managers must be familiar with the life cycle of their new product. Most small business have failed due to the fact that the manager had no idea on how to introduce the new product to the market.

I agree that all managers should be familiar with the life cycle of their new product as well. I think that an effective manager can only manage as well as their knowledge of their subordinates's knowledge will allow. A manager needs to know what their employees know in order to ensure they are doing a good job.
