Hey class,
For the blog I have chosen to post under the pseudonym of Business
Student and I am in the inter-organizational studies group.
After finishing MGMT
4132 this summer I will have completed all coursework required for a BS in
accounting. I plan on enrolling in the fall semester to pursue a MS in
accounting or an MBA; I am still undecided as to which. My goals after
graduating are to meet the final requirements pursuant to becoming a licensed
CPA.
I have worked since I
was first able to at the age of sixteen, and have been continuously employed
ever since; predominately full time. I have held several supervisor and senior
level positions; yet all my work experience has been more-or-less entry level. Spanning
6 different companies, I have worked in retail, services, shipping/receiving,
and home delivery/installation. Currently, my full time focus is school. I plan
on a job in accounting once I receive my bachelors.
hey "business student", I'm also in the inter-organizational studies group. Look forward on working with you and your years of experience!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your well written and INFORMATIVE introduction. I find it so much easier to "chat" with people who give you something to respond to. I assume that even with all of your experience, the accounting world is unfamiliar. I hope that as a grad student you look into student organizations on campus and in the community. You might learn a few things to help with your decision on which way to go from here. Good Luck!
ReplyDeleteThank you both for the comments. Yes, the professional world in general is unfamiliar to me as far as work experience. I have looked into some of the student organizations on campus and decided against it. However, I'm in the process of joining a Texas one.
