I am enrolled in the professional accounting program and this summer I am taking the last two courses before I start the masters program. I will have a bachelors and masters in accounting when I finish in about a year and a half.
In my current employment, I am lucky enough to work from home. I work with my husband, who has his own law practice. I do some of the accounting and also deal directly with the clients and insurance companies. Previously, I worked for a skincare company and a dermatologist for 12 years. In that job, I worked my way up in the company to where I was the office manager when I left. I handled all the accounting, oversaw inventory and helped launch new products and marketing programs.
I left the workforce for a couple of years to stay home with my 3 kids. I really love staying home, but always planned on eventually finishing my degree. Since my husband had finished his, it was my turn to go back.
Social media has become such an important tool in marketing and advertising. With the Blog project, I hope to gain knowledge in this area that I can use for my husband's practice and any future endeavors. I do not have any experience with writing a blog, so this project should be a great learning experience.
