Solar Energy will likely be cheaper than regular electricity by 2015
At least in the sunniest parts of the United States. That's the conclusion of this Scientific American blog. The author does a nice bit of work demonstrating the cost reduction curves and power outputs for solar. There is a reason that Wal-Mart is leading the pack in solar installation, and the reason isn't goodwill!
